One of the diffrences between the game of chess and the game of checkers is that in the game of checkers, the game is played in real time...but with chess a player needs to constantly think about how the future could turn out.

I am not claiming that the above position is 'bad' I am just saying that sometimes situations seem like a good idea, but the good situation turns into a bad situation.
