Should Max Verstappen stay at Red Bull Racing?

f1-1605909_1920.jpgShould Max verstappen stay at Red Bull Racing? If you are as talented as Max, shouldn’t you always be driving in the fastest car? What is talent worth if you can never beat the fastest car in the field?

It is still hard to get used to, to watch a sport where the team with the most money is almost certain to win. Because the team with the most money can do more development on their engines. I know it is part of the sport but still if we look at say cycling, we demand that all cyclers are clean and are not using any substances that can enhance our performance.

If we would put all drivers in cars with the same engine than talent would be the most important factor in the sports making it much more interesting to watch.

This season I find it very boring to watch sometimes because I already know the top 5. There is no real fight any more.

So back to the question, I say no unless Red Bull Racing is able to race with Mercedes or Ferrari.
What do you think?

Hi @funkie68, you are totally right. In my opinion, Verstappen should leave RedBull and become driver for another team. It is a pity that his amazing skills are unused.. One weird thing is that most of the time it is Verstappen's car that breaks, who not Rcciardo's??

Hi @jerre, It think it is purely bad luck. They drive the same car and they both are pushing the car to the max. I don't think ricciardo is doing anything different. I read in the Dutch papers today people are thinking of sabotage but who would benefit from that? Unless Ricciardo is removing some screws at night. ;) The disadvantage of F1 is that you can't switch or hop into another car. Once your engine is fried, it's over. Moving to another team could be a big risk since there is no guarantee that you can develop the fastest car in the field. Look at Ferrari last year compared to this year. And you can't switch during the season, even the seats for next year are already taken. (although I am sure they would make an exception for Max.) We just have to hang in there, luckily he is only 19.
