5 Brilliant Subreddits to Waste Your Time

/r/iamverysmart

I am very smart is a place people laugh at pseudo-intellectuals, philosophers and Neil Degrasse Tyson (basically anyone who wants you to know how smart they are). It is easy to spend hours on this subreddit wondering how these people can think so highly of themselves while having poor grammar and spelling. Just look at that picture, how is it appropriate to call all of your friends on Facebook 'peasants' and how does knowing a common Latin phrase make you of higher intelligence of them?

/r/im14andthisisdeep/

This subreddit is similar to /r/iamverysmart but mainly focuses on young edge lord going through those years in our lives which we look back and cringe. While Neil Degrees Tyson is the mascot of /r/iamverysmart Jaden Smith is the king of /r/im14andthisisdeep.

Look at the picture I chose to represent this subreddit. Isn't it astonishing that this person thinks that having 107 IQ and knowing how to build a PC makes them smarter thane everyone else they know?

/r/me_irl

me_irl is a popular subreddits with 667,624 subscribers and many more users who choose to treat me_irl as a special place away from the front page. While many may say that me_irl has gone downhill in the past few months. It still remains a place for hilarious content and inside jokes.

On one day the me_irl front page consisted of nothing but the same photo on the front page. me_irl has it's own history and achievements and is also full of low effort content that you can't help but to upvote.

I first found me_irl about a year and a half ago in the middle of a university lecture and went straight to 'top of all time'. I couldn't contain myself and was in tears of laughter. The memes their were just on a whole new level and while they may never be as good as they where now. me_irl still provides some quality memes.

/r/FellowKids

FellowKids is a subreddit where we mock companies, schools and politicians who try to be cool with kids. It mainly consists of companies who use memes disgracefully in their advertising campaigns. If the mascot of /r/iamverysmart is Neil Degrasse Tyson and the king of /r/im14andthisisdeep is Jaden Smith then the queen of /r/FellowKids is Hillary Clinton due to the sheer amount of pandering to youth in her election campaign by using terrible memes.

/r/britishproblems/

I don't have a picture for this subreddit as it is text post only but I can ensure it is a brilliant subreddit for Brits to waste their time. This subreddit is the British spin on first world problems. If you're a Brit you will find these post painfully relatable and if your not it is an interesting look at British culture.
