Video games are in the habit of making money. One has found a way to enrich its players by paying them to play. Some gamers are now earning more than city officials just by tapping around their phone. But Axie Infinity, the most famous game in the play-to-earn category, has seen its price of entry get very high. Another game, though, that’s been in dev since 2019, aims to offer strong competition by letting players begin their journey for free. Now in beta mode, KOGs: SLAM! will soon introduce a P2E mechanic that lets players rack up in-game tokens they can trade for cash.
Seeing Axie collect millions in weekly revenue is very promising for the P2E concept, and we’ll soon see the impact from RedFOX Labs' gaming venture that strives to empower its community with the help of modern technology.
