Today, as I retrospect and try to analyze my feelings towards my mom and dad I feel only love for them. I consider them like a friend whom I know is there to fall back on whenever i need them. Our relationship might not have been the same at all times, however we have evolved and moved on from most of our issues we might have had in the past. Can I say I did it all by myself,”No Way”. I could not have done it at all by myself. It took a lot of diligence from many close and few not so close connections around myself some i might not be even be aware of even contributed to this journey. However, it has been a journey and a journey filled with it’s own ups and downs. It’s a journey I could compare with time that keeps moving on and never stops. If I consider my abilities with a watch, I could say confidently that I had to replace the battery to make sure that the clock provides the right time.
It makes me question if every relationship could be considered a journey towards a conclusion. In relationships it seems the tasks in hand might be never-ending. I feel we evolve with time and experiences everyday. Our experiences are different every day when we interact with different situations involving different individuals in our life. Trying to bring a close relationship towards a conclusion could be seen as a problem. It is like trying to end a journey when we might have to keep moving after crossing every hurdle that comes in our way. This might be easy said than done in practical situations, however the option that we could consider is to keep trying.
I have my limitations, so when I have to consider crossing a hurdle I take support from various sources around myself that I know I can relay on whenever I need them. Sometimes, a complete stranger could provide a clue towards a possible solution in assisting my ability to cross a hurdle. The only thing I need to prepare myself for is the ability to approach that opportunity to take support or assistance from a trusted source or a complete stranger and maybe provide them with something that they are looking for in return. My ideas and thoughts are always by my side and I could share my experiences that could at times provide a direction to others whom I might not even know. It gives me satisfaction to know that I tried. This might be a way I consider saying thank you to my surroundings for providing the abilities that I value the most in myself.
