Book of Life in the Bible | Is Your Name Securely In It?

The Book of Life in the Bible is not a book of the Bible, but is mentioned many times in the Bible.

The Book of Life is God's Heavenly record of the names of people throughout the ages who had their sins forgiven by the power of the Blood of Jesus before they died.

There is only one way to have your name written down in God's Book of Life and that is to believe in Jesus, repent of your sins in sincerity and humility and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

What is The Book of Life
there is a book - no one on earth has ever seen it - but there is a book - it's one of a kind - there is no other book like it - you have never read this book - it is one of if not the most important book in existence - you and I cannot buy this book - it is not for sale - it's pages, entries and content is unknown to any man - God Almighty is the author and the keeper of this book - it is His Holy Heavenly ledger - in this book are the names of all the redeemed of all time - you cannot buy your way into this book - you cannot do enough good works to get your name into this book - religion will never ever secure your name in this book - worldly fame and wealth are worthless in regards to this book - the only ink this book acknowledges is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ - only Jesus can secure your name in the book

If Your Name Is In The Book
If your name is in the Book of Life, Joyful You Should Be.

If your name is in the Book if Life, God is your Father, Jesus is your Savior and the Holy Spirit dwells within you and empowers you to live the Christian life.

You are part of the Church of the Living God...

1 Peter 2:9

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

If your name is in The Book of Life, all of your sins are forgiven forever and God will walk with you every step of the way of your life on earth and when it is time for you to die, God will close your eyes and escort your soul to Heaven with His Heavenly Angels and you will enter your celestial home.

God will provide for your every need every day if your name is written in the Book of Life.

You have been called to a mission if your name is in the book; to make disciples, baptize disciples and teach disciples all that He has commanded you and He is with you always.

If your name is in the book, He will enable you to walk in victory on earth and then enter into His eternal victory of Heaven.

Throughout eternity, you will rejoice that your name was written in the book.

If Your Name Is Not In The Book
If your name is not in the book and you die, you will be doomed to eternal darkness, banned forever from God's presence, you will live in eternal physical and emotional torment sharing the ages as they roll with the devil and demonic spirits.

Your resurrected body will suffer eternally in unquenchable flames as your lungs are filled and gasping with sulfuric fumes.

You'll long for a single drop of water, but there is no water where you will be.

You'll long for a single breath of air, but there is no air where you will be.

You will hear eternally all day long and all night long every day for the rest of eternity agonizing cries of billions.

You will long to see your loved ones, but no one can come to you and you can go to no one.

You will long to hear the name that this world loves to curse, not Allah, not Buddha, not Mohamed, but where you'll be you will long to hear the name of Jesus, but you will never hear His name again.

You will never hear any preacher preach the Gospel.

You will never pray or read the Bible, again.

God will leave you and abandon you totally. You've never been where there is no God, but for eternity, you will be in a setting where there is no God.

You won't have access to a Worship service, you won't hear the great hymns of the faith, you won't hear any choirs sing or orchestras play.

You will long to be able to repent of your sins, to believe in Jesus and to receive Him, but to no avail.

Irreversibly, eternally separated from Almighty God.

You'll long for another invitation to the Gospel, but to no avail.

Your treasures will be devoured, your valuables will be valueless, your earthly accomplishments will be as dung, your bank accounts will be empty, your high position will mean nothing, your name will be forgotten, your soul will be shackled...

And as the ages roll, you will remember that you had an opportunity to get your name in God's Book of Life, but YOU said NO.

Planting Seeds of Faith
We Christians work to plant the seed of the Gospel message in nonbelievers and some say no and some say yes - this is the way it goes with the Gospel.

If you say YES then Jesus will say YES to you and He will have your name put into the Book of Life.

When each one who says YES, opens their heart and repents of their sins and accepts that Jesus died on the cross to save them from their sins and believes on the resurrection power of Jesus, there is a great rejoicing in Heaven.

God gives the increase to these new believers and their new found faith to grow and strengthen their faith in Jesus - All Glory Be To God.

The Book of Life in the Bible
Revelation 20:10-15

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The reality of the Book of Life is confirmed by the Bible going all the way back to Exodus...

Exodus 32:31-33

31 And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin―; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

33 And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Psalm 69:28

28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

Revelation 21:27

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

The Book of Life is mentioned many more times in the Bible.

Get Your Name Secured In The Book of Life
The ruler over the Book of Life is God Himself and the way to get your name into the book is to do as God commands and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ and repent of your sins in humility.

If your name is in the Book of Life, you will rejoice for all eternity and if not you will lament for all eternity.

Why does the Book of Life belong to Jesus and not Buddha or Mohamed? Because only Jesus came into the world by way of a virgin, lived a sinless perfect life and died an atoning death on the cross and rose from the dead.

Not Buddha, Not Mohamed and if your trust is in any other than Jesus then you are misled.

When you die you do not cease to exist - that is a lie of the devil. Your soul is eternal and either goes to heaven or hell on your day of judgment.

You must have your sins forgiven by Jesus to get your name in the Book of Life and have a secure future of eternal Heaven.

Most won't make it into the Book of Life. Be Different - Accept Jesus into Your Life.

There is no excuse that will get your name into the Book of Life, but only by the forgiveness of your sins by the power of the blood of Jesus.

When you pray and repent ask Jesus to search your heart and remind you of anything you have done that you need to repent about.
