It's sad when you meet people who have no understanding of sin.
Many times people, wherever you meet them think that "God is loving as long as you love him, otherwise it's hellfire for you."
Couldn't be further from the truth.
God is the creator and author of life itself. Sin is the separation between mankind and God.
If you choose to sin, you choose to separate yourself from the one who created your life for his glory. It's as if you are thirsty for water but you willingly are not going to drink, then die of thirst.
(Ironically enough Jesus used living water as a metaphor for the Holy Spirit)
