What is Your Take?

Well, i really want to ask a question and hopefully many people will come across this and give their answers. In recent times there has been this issue that Christians are NOT supposed to pay tithe as New Testament Believers while people believe that it is mandatory.

Jesus surprisingly didnt preach about tithe, though he talked about it once in Matthew 23:23 when he condemned the attitude of the Scribes and Pharisees; Paul who wrote most of the scriptures in the new testament really didnt talk us into paying or not paying tithe though in Hebrew 7 he mentioned that Levi paid a tithe through Abraham (mentioned in Genesis 14:20).

ALSO, NO BIBLE PASSAGE showed us that Abraham paid a tithe from his wealth or income or riches; in Genesis 14, he gave from the spoils.

Do you think we are missing something as Christians?

Personally to me, tithing  10% can limit giving as a person can feel he has paid his dues and therefore put him in a legal-relationship with God instead of a love-relationship.

The whole essence of giving and living is love.

Tithing came before the law and before moses. Jesus didn't condemn it nor preach about it either.

THE FIRST TITHE (GEN. 14:19–20)

And he blessed him and said,
“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
and blessed be God Most High,
who has delivered your enemies into your hand!”
And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Abraham was the first to pay tithe in the Bible and the Bible recorded Abraham is the father of faith. His tithe wasn't because he was commanded to, No. It was a revelation.

Tithing came before the law and what Jesus came to destroy was the law and its ordinances.

Ephesians 2:15

JACOB OFFERS A TITHE (GEN. 28:20–22)

Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear, so that I come again to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God, and this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God’s house. And of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you.”

I believe thithing is a responsibility for all Christians

You need to specify which tithe you're referring to. I personally agree with this take on it:
