Everyone Wants to Get to Heaven, But Nobody Wants to Die

Wars, rumors of Wars, earthquakes and storms. The thrashing of this world is not restrained. The desperate struggle, while the elite operate under the false notion that they are what we sarcastically label them as. Hope is the banner for our cause, but it has become a pillow to rest the weary’s head.

Crashing -- the waves of the deep slam against the bows, willing to displace the weakest joint. Wake up oh Lord, cries the Psalmist, do you see the evil in your world? Take notice of what they’ve done! Oh ye of little faith. Have I not called you my son? For you should have joy that I’ve gone to the Father so the comforter may abide. Rise up my people and calm the prevailing tide.

For far too many years Christianity has lost something dear. Possibly not lost, certainly misplaced, the hope that was brought - the hope that over took fear. As times have gotten tough and the world claims it has dismantle what we hold true, we have sought for our escape forgetting or forsaking our hope and we have put the whole message at stake.

The Father’s will and kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven. As the beautiful mind of NT Wright has discovered,

Heaven is important but it’s not the end of the world.

My challenge to you is see if your hope his misplaced. Is it Heaven? Is it in the form of an escape? Or is it in the fruitful work of bearing the likeness and image of the Creator God? Jesus confronted the powers of this world and they did their worst. Now we have hope that through the Father’s love we can be stedfast and unmovable, abounding in the work. Knowing that the new creation has begun and our labor is not in vain. Strive, push forward, resist the lies. Come kingdom come.

People believe in religions that they have mostly born with. Humans invented religions so we could cope with death. That is all really.

I think there is a historical argument for the resurrection of Jesus. I think that death or coping with death actually has very little to do with Christianity. This is the point my post is attempting to make. That Christianity has devolved into an escape theology (aka rapture, heaven, visions) when really it is about living in this life and ultimately the world to come. Many people have internalized the resurrection of Jesus as proof of Heaven and that is their big takeaway. I think that needs to be corrected in the Christian worldview.

There is not. There is a historical argument for virgins coming out of volcanoes as well. You just choose to believe a story

There is a historical argument to be made. I will post a video that outlines these points and though he is a historian and the world's leading New Testament scholar with 9 PhDs and 100+ books on the matter I am only appealing to his credibility, not colluding with the fallacy of authority.
We know from historic texts that Jesus was a real person and was put to death via crucifixion under Pontius Pilate. The issue that is at hand is his resurrection. Let me highlight a few points that I think are significant.

The first witnesses of the risen Jesus were women. Now this is a profound thing in time when women were not educated and who's testimonies were not accepted even in court procedures. Yet, this account is accepted and placed in the story of the gospels. So I pose the question, why was their testimony accepted? Why, if you were setting out to fabricate a story, would you build it upon a foundation that would be seen as foolishness of women in a graveyard? I submit that it is because the event overcame the tradition/ culture. It actually is what happened.
There are no other examples of this happening. Matter of fact, prophets and teachers throughout the Israelite history had been killed, yet none were raised up. Why now?
If the body of Jesus was still there the ideas of his resurrection would have been crushed. Bone boxes were kept by the Jews at the time, because the idea of a resurrection of all their people. If a rumor such as Jesus rising from the grave would have popped up these, being the most convicted in their faith, would have denounced it and said - No, we have the box right here. This doesn't happen. What does happen is the widespread belief and then martyrdom in this event. The "gospel" or good news - news meaning that something took place in which the world is a different place - spread and transformed the world.

This is really great, perfectly correct, and I have no argument with your intended meaning other than amusement at your choice of words:

Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:1-4

The arrival of the Heaven we are anticipating is quite literally the end of the world.
