@cyclope, thanks for the reminder about our redemption in Christ. An important thing to remember is that after our redemption, our station has changed in this life. If we obey the commands of Christ, then we are his "friends." (John 15:14) The word for "friends" is a royal title in Greek. We have been redeemed from slaves of sin to royal companions in the court of God.
