Jonah had felt low and depressed after God refused to destroy Ninveh. Jeremiah regretted the day he was born. Job's wife advised him to curse God and die in the midst of of his suffering and pains. And then even well known church leaders like Martin Luther, John Bunyan, Charles Haddon surgeon and J.B Phillips had massive struggles with depression.

World leaders like Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln, clearly documented, had waves of depression that were debilitating to their lives. Depression, is in fact, is no respecter of persons. It has been called the common cold of emotional disorders, and it appears to be on the rise. this is especially so, as it characterises a civilised world.

Sometimes life can be full of challenges but no matter what we face we can be rest assured that God is always with us. The Bible says "cast your care upon him, for he careth for you. Feeling weary is normal life experience.

Are you burdened? discouraged? You need to look up to God, the Author and finisher of our faith. Talk to him through prayer and supplications and he shall direct your path.
