Jakarta - The Government of Ghana may have an unusual policy, even tends to lead to controversy, namely calling for a regular prayer call through the call to prayer, it is recommended to use a text message in WhatsApp.
Currently, Ghana's Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Kwabena Frimpong Boateng has asked the country's scholars to consider the azan through WhatsApp.
As quoted from myjoyonline and ghanaweb, Thursday (12/4/2018) Boateng said that the appeal was submitted to reduce air pollution that occurred in Ghana.
"In the house of worship, why is the voice limited?" What if Imam Masjid sent a message WhatsApp to everyone that the time of prayer has arrived, "he said.
Boateng realizes that recommendations replacing the usual call to prayer using speakers into text through WhatsApp can lead to pros and cons. The call should be considered by scholars in the African country.
Not only for Muslims, to reduce air pollution, Boateng also suggested to Christians that local churches limit the use of musical instruments that can invite noise.
