This summer has been really warm in France but the sun is not guilty ...

The burkini is the new subject which ignites France . For those who don't know , the burkini is a swimsuit that some muslim women wear when they go to the beach . The word burkini is a mix a Burqa and bikini . To remind you what happened in my country in the last months :

January 7 :

The Kouachi brothers enters in the office of the newspaper Charlie hebdo and kill 12 persons . Charlie hebdo is a symbol of the freedom of speech in a france ( even if a lot of persons don't like their articles ) . Charlie hebdo had already been threatened before the attack , and even if they knew that something could happen they were not able to imagine this attack .

January 8 :

Amedy Coulibaly kills a policewoman .

January 9 :

He enters in a Kasher shop and kills 4 jewish before being killed by the police .

June 26 :

Yassin Salhi beheads his boss and tries to make an explosion in the place where he works . He does that in the name of ISIS .

August 21 :

A guy enters in a train and wants to kill everybody , fortunately he is stopped by 3 young americans on vacation .

November 13 :

Simultaneous attacks , terrorists enter in the bataclan and kill people . At the same time in Paris , a second team shoots people on the street . A third team tries to enter in the stadium of Saint Denis for a kamikaze attack , they fail and the president goes out really fast from the stadium thanks to security protocol .
At the end of the night 129 persons are dead and 352 injuried .

June 13 :

A man waits for a policeman in front of his house , he kills him and enters in the house . In front of their child he butchers the mother and broadcasts it on facebook .

July 14 :

The national day in France , a man drives a truck and crush as many persons as he can . He kills 85 persons in the name of ISIS .

It is fair to say that since the terrorist attacks in France there is a lot of tension with the religious questions . On the 13th of August , 3 muslim brothers and their wives arrive in the small beach of Sisco in Corsica . Really fast the
tension grows , the men don't want people to take pictures while their wives swim in burkini . One of the guy threathens young teenagers of the village with a big knife , one the young boys runs to the village
to call adults . 40 persons arrive and the police has a lot of difficulty to stop the riot .

On the next days , several mayors decide to forbid the burkini on their beach . That's the beggining of the burkini case in France . To understand the crisis you've got to understand that 7% of the french population is muslim , this is the highest percentage in europe , a lot of muslims are born in France and consider themselves as french ( some of them don't ) . A lot of muslim countries just like marocco or algeria were french colony , during the World War 2 those countries were forced to fight for France , years later they gained their independency ( during the algerian war for instance ) . In the 70's France needed cheap workers and called a lot of algerians , marocans and other muslim populations of africa . Those persons remained in France and made their life here . Now , the second generation , the children of those persons are born in France and live here . Most of them are muslims and now represent a part of the french identity . On the other hand the extrem right in France gain more and more power , and the burkini represents a threat for the liberties for another part of the population .

The face of France is slowly changing , what will it look like is the big question .
