In this post I would like to write a little about the facts of life in a vast ocean of ocean and the role of wind on sailing ships.

If we discussed the mood of the ocean in the midst of the sea for those of you who have sailed with "PELNI Ship" from Java Island to Sumatra Island will be able to imagine how the atmosphere or circumstance in the middle of the ocean or the seas off, and may feel and imagine again when the atmosphere of a vicious ocean and how humans move to deal with various kinds of tense circumstances.

And maybe again for friends who in Aceh can also imagine how the situation if you are in the middle of the ocean when you visit "Sabang Island" by crossing the leawat sea lane. That's more or less the situation in the midst of the atlantic that passed by large ships in ancient times to sail.

In essence, the Ship of the sea can not sail in the sea without any wind in the Sea, as one of the Islamic proofs is in the following Qur'anic verse,

Allah SWT says :

وَلَهُ الْجَوَرِ الْمُنْشَآتُ

And unto Him belongs the ark that is high in the screen. (QS. Ar-Rahman: 24)

That is the ships that sail.

فِي الْبَحْرِ
.
In the loose seas. (QS. Ar-Rahman: 24)

Mujahid said that the meaning of munsya-at is a ship that has a high screen (ie big and wide bodied), while the ship is not so the situation is not called munsya-at. Qatadah says that munsya-at means is created, whereas besides it says traditional boat.

{كَالْأَعْلَامِ} .

Like the mountains. (QS. Ar-Rahman: 24)

It is like the mountains of the landscape because of its size and height, and because of what it contains in the form of merchandise and necessities which are exported and imported from one region to another for human use.

And in another verse says :

إِنْ يَشَأْ يُسْكِنِ الرِّيحَ فَيَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ .

"If He willed He would soothe the wind, then the ships would stop at sea level. Verily in that there are signs for all who are patient and much grateful" (QS. Asy-Syura : 33)

Some people say that ships that sail by engine power use fuel from coal, oil, or other, what to stop if the wind stops?

All types of ships that use fuel of all kinds, and move using steam power with nuclear fuel, if the wind does not exist, undoubtedly the movement of the ship will be completely stopped. Because the fuel burner is by an intermediate of oxygen gas in the air.

Thus my writing about how the Qur'an discusses the role of the wind against ships in the middle of the Atlantic. Hopefully this can be a useful knowledge for all steemians friends, and for steemians who do not know the Qur'an (non-Muslims), may know Al-Qu'an through my religious writings in the welcome edition of "Ramadan" this time.
