  1. Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

  2. Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way?

  3. I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

  4. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were guiltier than all the others living in Jerusalem?

  5. I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

  6. Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any.

  7. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

  8. “‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it.

  9. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”

  10. On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,

  11. and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.

  12. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”

  13. Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

  14. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”

  15. The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?

  16. Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

  17. When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.

  18. Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to?

  19. It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.”

  20. Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to?

  21. It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

  22. Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem.

  23. Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”He said to them,

  24. “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

  25. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

  26. “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’

  27. “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’

  28. “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.

  29. People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.

  30. Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”

  31. At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you.”

  32. He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’

  33. In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!

  34. “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.

  35. Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

After several events on the part of pilatos, Jesus transferred the meaning of these incidents to the spiritual sphere. He does not theorize about retribution, but speaks of the urgent demands of the present, if you do not repent, everyone will perish equally.
Jesus refers to the recent calamity in which 18 workers were killed in an accident. Instead of speculating about their guilt, others should consider their fate as a call to repentance.
Here the parable applies specifically to Israel. The nation has failed to produce spiritual fruit, but God gives people one more opportunity to change their attitude to Jesus.
As for the opinions of Saturday, the animals were normally cared for on Saturdays. Are not people something more valuable? That satan had bound: no doubt that the woman's illness, which at the time suffered from a disease of the spine, is attributed to a demon called "spirit of disease"
In that order of events Jesus also emphasizes the narrow path, the door is narrow because Christ is the only door, and repentance and faith are the only means of admission.
In the final judgment the door will be closed and those who are now indifferent to Christ will claim to meet Him, because the Jews considered being automatically in the kingdom of God because of their ethnic bond with Abraham, but Jesus emphasizes that, those who were called the last ones will enter the kingdom, while the unbelieving Jews who were called first will be excluded.
Likewise there is a lament of pain in the Spirit of Jesus when he laments for Jerusalem, He said: They have rejected the King, so the Lord abandons them to his own fate, all that remains will be an empty religious system, without his temples and sacrifices, because they killed the prophets that God himself sent them, in addition to the unity that Jesus always wanted them to have, and they rejected it.
Our beloved Jesus offers a note of hope when referring to his glorious return, when he will be recognized as King.

Repentance consists in the true capacity of the human being to recognize what is good and what is wrong and to consciously accept that we must look for what has been lost over the years, the path that leads to the father and that the whole world be partakers of that truth, to this all the teachings of Jesus and hence the only sense of the gospel, as well as the example of the mustard seed or the leaven, all this only seeks to illustrate the true meaning of the life of humanity and focus it in the right direction.

Blessed is he who walks in the name of the Lord. Amen

The woman who was bended received her healing despite how the Pharisees wanted obstructing Jesus. I declare today that Your destiny helper will still help you despite how your enemies tries to distract them. Since they couldn't succeed in that womans life they will not succeed in your life.

vs 11-16 talks about a woman suffering from an ailment for 19 years and after Jesus had healed her, some people questioned Jesus for doing so.. A phrase in His reply caught me..
This is His reply

Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

This is the phrase

A daughter of Abraham

It means

  • She was born again
  • She qualified for the covenant of sound health in Abraham
  • She must have been so zealous for Jesus to call her a daughter of Abraham..

Now the big question..

If she was all these, why was she under bondage?

The truth is..

You can be born again, yet still suffer satanic oppressions if you don't know your rights in Christ and then exercise them.

Knowledge is key
Rightful application is better

And until Jesus came in authority to rebuke that infirmity, it would have continued...as believers, we need to stand firm against all attacks of the enemy, standing on God's promises and resisting the devil always and he will flee.

God bless us

Repentance is the key that allows us to open the door of forgiveness, Jesus endeavors our way.

Thank you.

Many are called but few WIL be chosen, Jesus made it clear to us that we can only enter his Kingdom if we had a change of mind and heart to follow and work according to his words.

5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

its purpose is not condemnation, but redemption. The call to repentance shows us that it is not too late for his listeners. Salvation is still possible.

God wants us, fruits! In many parts of the Bible it is established ... so we must bear fruit throughout our lives so that God does not discard us.

The Lord told his disciples that in the world they would have afflictions and suffering, but he encouraged them to trust Him, because He had achieved victory over sin and the power of evil.

Jesus has taught us so much parable preparing us for heaven, thank @reliquary for this wounderful read

every Christian must bear fruit
