Rembrandt study in Photoshop

Recently I downloaded the Greg Rutkowski photoshop brushes and wanted to see if I could get a realistic oil paint look with them. So far these are the best ones I've used....not that I've tried a ton of others, and not to say there aren't any other great sets out there. But these definitely got the effect I was looking for. I started with the standard soft round brush in Photoshop for my block , set at a low opacity. Then gradually building forms in light and dark until about 60% through I moved into the more textured stuff, which is where the Rutkowski set came in. I could have noodled all day long but decided to call it a day after about 5 or 6 hours. I was pretty happy with the results. Below are the early and finished stages.IMG_6154.jpgScreen Shot 2017-12-03 at 9.41.11 AM.png
