Eighth Saturday in a row spent working on central heating, but finally past the halfway mark.
The furnace was hung with a custom built steel frame.
Since this picture was taken the plenums and all the registers have been installed.
It always helps having a master carpenter as an assistant.
The new water heater is also visible in the above picture. That and all new plumbing was the project completed before the central heating.
Here is what it looks like before the register is installed. Pretty scary cutting a hole in old hardwood floors.
And here it is with the register installed.
The finished product looks good!
This is the original maple flooring from 1920. It is very difficult to sand and restore since it is such a hard wood but the good news is that the floors are absolutely indestructible.
