    Might have some play in it, but as I understand it's mostly due to bitcoins intern problems, causing other currencies to be dragged down along.

          Well the saving grace for the US dollar is as of right now it is still the top dollar used around the world. Cryptocurrencies will take over. It's just a matter of when.

            Dropping compared to what? Normally you compare one currency to another. If you're talking about buying power, then yes, inflation causes one dollar to not go as far. But you're paid several times more than they were in 1913 to balance that.

              in 1913 an ounce of gold was worth what?
