She's not a huge culture warrior like most of the GOP nowadays.
By GOP standards, she's definitely a fiscal conservative on domestic stuff.
There have been times she's been willing to buck her party and take positions that she knows will make her unpopular with her base, which I respect. There are times she's told farmers she opposed agricultural subsidies, and said things about race that Republicans tend not to acknowledge.
She's recognized some problems with permitting on things like nuclear energy, is one of the few Republicans left to acknowledge problems with how entitlements are structured, etc. There's a fair amount I like about bits of her. Of course I dislike things she's said about online anonymity and hate her take on nearly every foreign policy consideration, but, you know... There's no shortage of things to hate about any politician.
The foreign policy hawkishness is kind of a deal breaker for me on the President thing, though I could have voted for her for Governor of South Carolina without too much regret.
