I was wondering why does this system always hides your comments. Finally, I realized that it is because of your low reputation. -4.
I think I know what you are going through. It’s one thing when you see someone who is a mile higher than you getting recognized. Even though this might not be pleasant, but inside you sort of consider it fair.
However, when you see some stupid and incompetent posts get recognition, while your musical entries and some other stuff, which are of much higher quality don’t, it burns you inside. So you go and you show them what they really are worth. You try to unveil them, so that everybody can see who they really are. But you get exactly the opposite results, because of the phenomena called “conspiracy of incompetence.” Nothing you are or anyone can do about it. That’s is how life is C'est la vie
More so most of people here don’t even care about what they read. All they care is about their reputation stats. Therefore they put some favorable comments, just so the person who they favorably commented could promote their comment.
This is not a fair competition and the person who doesn’t give a fuck always wins. Then what can a sincere person like you and can do?
Don’t comment on the entries that you don’t like and that irritate you.
Try to find something that you like at least somewhat and give those people a favorable comment. Make them feel good about their work. They are people just like you and me and most of them will appreciate your sincere desire to help them and they will bump your comment up.
This way your reputation can grow and you won’t be kissing anybody’s ass just for the sake of higher score on the system. Not sure about you, but I feel a great pleasure to say a person nice things about his or her work if I really feel so.
Actually, instead of looking at their blog entries take a look at their comments and how they choose to talk to people, or perhaps that they spam other peoples articles (the entire text) as comments to multiple people in the same content section. You'll quickly see why in this case the person has a bad reputation.
They are also the type that thinks insulting people will make people listen to them.
So while YES some people do get dinged for bogus reasons, this person is going out of their way to get dinged.
They are kind of a celebrity. They may actually qualify as the first Internet Troll I've seen on steemit. :) I have them muted, but I kind of noticed where I first saw them so was looking to see if there was a correlation for this being an alt account someone created just to be an ass. Don't know for sure, but I saw your comment. Don't just look at the bog, click on the comment tab too. I think you'll quickly see why this person has the reputation they do.
Oh and their introductory post (first one they ever did) appears to be plagiarism unless their name happens to be Terrance.
Thank you for your valuable incites and think that many people could in fact be classified as trolls. However, in this particular case I respectfully disagree. I've seen this person's comments and even contested one of his opinions. However, I also saw some of his blog entries and music videos and I happen to think that he is a talented guy. That's why I don't think his motivation is being mere trolling but is more in line with what I described in my post.
If you would labor yourself enough to show me which posts you are talking about
I mentioned @barrycooper. He posted one about aliens. I only posted one response to that. I received two replies from this guy.
There is also a reason I told you to look at his comment tab. Scroll down far enough you would see his comments to @stellabelle and others. They may not be there now. I'll take a peek.
The ones to @stellabelle and others that were really bad are now gone from his tab. Would have to dig through steemd.com to find them.
Anyway, if you like the guy that is your prerogative.
I don't really care how talented he is if he thinks he needs to be an ass. By the way it was his conversation with me yesterday where he did say "He was just fucking with me" which I kind of figured that. Yet he was not calling me stupid, or fucking idiot. He was not telling @stellabelle to grab the cock she so desperately wants (or however he phrased it).
So yeah... you like him. More power to you. I muted him. If he is a musician (or talented some other way) I'll never know at this point.
So you are saying he is NOT trolling, he/she is kind of an ass? I could buy that if that is what you are saying.
I was in someone's blog earlier today that had quite a few different comments. He went and spammed this probably 500 word post from I believe @kyriacos or something like that on the end of EVERY conversation thread in that comment section.
I also dialoged with him some the other day and he mentioned he was just fucking with me, but he wasn't really being an ass.
Today I posted something on @barrycooper post and he only has assholish things to say.
He called me stupid, and some other things (I never spoke to him) yet in reality. It is kind of STUPID to insult anyone if your intentions are to correct them on anything. As soon as you start throwing insults it kind of makes people think you need to be looking in a mirror when you say stupid. If you want to debate with me, I'm all for it. Keep it civil. People that have to resort to insults are a waste of my time.
It was after that, that I went and saw this blog post of his so I assume he pissed of @stellabelle and if you go read some of his comments where he is extremely demeaning to people I think you'll see where the possible Troll aspect comes out.
Even if he is not a troll. He is the closest thing to one I've seen on steemit. Most people that are admitted trolls on other platforms (they've told me they enjoy it) are not such here. Making people miserable on other platforms might give them a rush. Here it just hurts your chance of making any money and hurts your reputation.
Three things most people will ding you for plagiarism, spam, and abuse. I've seen this person do ALL three of those things.
Hi dwinblood,
Again, he probably did leave unfavorable comments. I witnessed them myself. The question is why? Your impression that is because he's just an ass and a troll by definition and is trying to become a sort of an evil genius just for the sake of publicity. My impression that this is a talented person, who is arrived to a state of desperation by his inability to attract attention to his own work.
I say that because often I am trying to hold myself from leaving a sarcastic comment, just because I don’t feel that the stupid or ill-informed post deserves to be recognized.
If you would labor yourself enough to show me which posts you are talking about I could probably have more reasons to agree or disagree with you position.
Here is fact one of his comments. The article was not spell checked. It had the following spelling. "plant Nibiru," Feminism corrected the spelling to "planet." This would confirm my assumption that he was irritated with the fact that the author couldn't labor himself running his post through the spellchecker software.

Steemit goes to show how blockchains are not going to help the world. The problem is greed. Blockchains do not have power over greed
