One interesting notion about swarm redistribution + Ripple is that the "pulses" can be combined with reactive routing of payments, the pulses is a continuous communication between nodes in the network that can forward routing requests together with the swarm redistribution.
To do reactive routing, signals have to be sent through all possible paths (trust lines) regardless, so its a nice fit with swarm redistribution, two birds with one stone.
Ryan Fugger's work from 2007 on "payments as a routing problem", https://www.docdroid.net/ByXQbiD/paymentrouting.pdf
Swarm distribution could really solve a major big problem :)

Swarm redistribution is an interesting notion @johan-nygren.
Totally, useful.
Great work and nice content.

as you may see, this idea was false, reactive routing uses trust lines, not credit lines, so swarm redistribution and routing do not overlap, but are a bit similar since both require flooding the network with packages
