the ‘residual income’ really helped this month and I totally gapped that it was pay out day!

maybe it was because @dayleeo was flying out today and we had the hotel yesterday and it’s been building up in the last week but I totally gapped that today would be normally internet topup day and that I would get my monthly payment in from skillshare — it’s never a lot but it really helps.

This month for the first time I had been drip feeding bits of bitcoin (spare coin change if ya like) into bitrefill.com a fantastic service for getting voucher codes for topping up your phone provider, this month I put enough away to cover the internet cost and leave some ‘in the balance’ to make next month easier.

With bitcoin so volatile is makes sense for me to move funds to accounts that I don’t touch very often so the new raft of banks like monese and monzo (got confirmed on that today) have been useful because nothing is connected to them, no bills will get paid out from them and I can use them for rent and just general costs — over time I hope they become services I’ll use like revolut for business too (for the humbletee.pw project for instance)

Residuals are certainly the way to go if you have the time, energy and something of education to share. I believe I cover an area that makes understanding technology just that little bit easier because we are literally drowning under at sea of change that is constant leaving people behind yet wanting to know.

Heck, there is stuff about these blockchains that would take me a lifetime to understand and even then I’m not even sure if that would be healthy for the way I need to understand every little detail — a working knowledge sometimes is enough for me!

Happy to get back into the hot seat and start cranking the next courses out now, super focused, early starts, live streams, remote video linkups with dayle, gonna find a way to work that out, maybe second screen setup tomorrow too after I’ve had a crack at a new template for a client! :)

Gotta make that paper! Need to get my ass over to the states in a few months time right?
