If this is intended to drum up sympathy for Hamas, it is wrong on many levels, both real-world and fictional.

  1. There are MANY examples of rebel movements worse than the governments they seek to overthrow: the Confederacy, the Bolsheviks, Mao's communists, Franco's fascists, and the Ayatollah Khomeini's movement are all notable cases in point.
  2. Hamas is not a pure "resistance" movement in any event, as they have been the rulers of Gaza for 16 years.
  3. This person doesn't even get the 2 fictional universes right. Note: Spoilers ahead. In the Hunger Games, President Alma Coin, leader of the rebellion against the Capitol, turns out to head a regime as bad or worse than the one she seeks to overthrow. Getting a half-way decent government is only possible after Katniss kills her, and her government is also overthrown. In Divergent, the first effort to overthrow the "faction" system results in an even worse government. It takes a second rebellion - plus outside intervention - to improve the situation.
  4. I'm not convinced these fictional analogies are all that relevant here. But if they are, the lesson is that the Israelis should do to Hamas what Katniss did to Alma Coin, and Tris and Evelyn did to Jeanine. Indeed, Hamas' atrocities are worse than those of these villainous fictional rebels, and the system of government they seek to institute is at least comparably bad.
