Workers who are required to wear a respirator in the workplace must undergo a medical examination to make sure they are physically able to wear a respirator. At a minimum, this medical clearance by MEQ Physicians consists of reviewing the OSHA questionnaire required by the clinician. National Health has developed a private questionnaire that meets OSHA requirements and allows our physicians to provide basic medical information for most staff without a traditional medical exam.
Questionnaire
This survey can be managed securely, alleviating the administrative burden for our customers while protecting the privacy of employees. For workers with complex exposures or medical problems, we have a full medical staff profession to facilitate the medical examination process.
Respirator Fit Testing
OSHA requires an annual respirator compliance check for workers who wear a respirator. Fit testing ensures that the respirator adheres correctly to the wearer's face to protect them from the effects of harmful substances. We can perform the appropriate tests at the National Health Campus or at its facilities. The National Health System verifies the qualitative and quantitative compliance:
Qualitative Respirator Fit Testing
Health has developed an OSHA approved automatic quality testing device and test method for high quality fitting of high quality breathing apparatus. It is a special device that performs up to 8 tests at a time, saving time and money and helping to prevent ergonomic technical problems for our customers.
Quantitative Respirator Fit Testing
For the use of half-face and full-face respirators with the highest level of protection, it is preferable to verify quantitative compatibility. National healthcare workers have the equipment and experience to perform quantitative tests to ensure the best protection during work.
All tests at National also cover annual workers required by OSHA, including respirator and filter clearance and maintenance, maintenance, and restraints. To ensure compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements, customers receive documentation for tests performed by each employee.
Worker Training
National Health has an experienced team that conducts various occupational health and safety training programs in the US, and they can be delivered on the job site or we can arrange the training elsewhere. We receive grants from OSHA and develop training materials on the following topics:
