Waterfront at Sebastian, Indian River.
One of the things to do in Sebastian, Indian River County in Florida, is dining out at restaurants. This helped a lot so the ladies didn’t have to cook much on their holiday. We did quite a bit of barbecuing as well around the pool area of the resort. The warm autumn weather prevailed except on one day when it rained. That time of the year (November) there were few tourists around and we had the place to ourselves.
Squid Lips.
There are two restaurants that bear mentioning in Sebastian. The first one we dined at was Squid Lips! Very amusing name I know but I suppose because it’s of the seafood specialities to be had there. There was live country and western entertainment and dancing to be had! We all had New England Clam Chowder for starters then grilled Mahi-Mahi (dolphin fish) with French fries and vegetables!
Captain Hiram's.
The other seafood restaurant worth visiting is Captain Hiram’s Waterfront Dining and Sand Bar. Both of them are situated on piers over the water’s edge and in the case of Captain Hiram’s we had lunch there and looked out over the Intra-Coastal Waterway where boats and vessels of all descriptions were travelling back and forth.

The next time you visit you should check out Crabby Bills it is a fish market just south of Capt Hirams, they also serve lunch. They have a lot of pictures of past fisherman from out area.
