Funny you mention them combining RAM size. Coleco did the same with the ADAM saying it had 80K, but I forget where the other 16K came from.

I suspect they extra 16K was ROM in the Coleco ADAM as well. Built-in BASIC and so forth...
Reminds me a little of how Atari advertised the Jaguar as 64-bit. It had two 32-bit processors and that's how they came up with the number. To be fair though, the graphics processor was 64-bit...
