Wow reading through these comments glad I'm not the only person who thought the originals were just a bit too dark!

Yeah I mean I get the point of the darkness. It sets the mood for the dark evilness that flows through this video game. But there's been quite a few games in the past including the bioshock series that I just felt were a bit too dark! How are you gonna spend millions of dollars on creating "the best new thing" and then have the entire video gaming community attack the fact that it's too dark lol? I watched an interview where they addressed it and said that at the start when you first meet Armocha he says something about darkness plauging the land and that is the first time the lightning dims. (this is in the original Whitcher) I guess they thought it was a good idea to carry it throughout the entire game. Finally the ditched it when this expansion (Blood and Wine) released. I think it almost makes it look like a brand new video game. For the better!!!
