Nashville Foodie Hot Spots

Nashville is one of the fastest growing cities in the US right now with nearly 1,000 people moving to the city per day. It comes as no surprise that a city with so much new development and momentum would be a foodie heaven! When you think of Nashville, you might think solely of Southern Comfort food which there is no shortage of BUT what you didn't know about Nashville is the vast variety of food options. If you're a BBQ loving carnivore or a Vegan with serious sweet tooth, there's something for you in this amazing city.

One of my favorite places in Nashville is called The Stillery. I love the Stillery for a variety of reasons but, being from Michigan, it's hard to come by authentic Nashville Hot Chicken anywhere but Nashville and The Stillery has some of the best hot chicken around. The Stillery offers some unique dishes, huge portions, and amazing cocktails.

Now, I don't classify myself as a Vegetarian but I lead a predominately veg-head lifestyle. So, when I'm able to find restaurants that cater to Vegetarians or Vegans, I'm always down to try it! Calypso Cafe has a few different locations in Nashville but it's an incredible place that offers so many Vegetarian and Vegan options made to order. In my opinion, it's the fast food of the clean eating world.

If you're looking for a top notch, make your own pizza place - Slim & Husky's is the place for you! Slim & Husky's is a recent addition to the Nashville foodie scene and has become one of the best "made to order" pizza places in Nashville! Super reasonable prices, hefty portions, and endless topping options. Slim & Husky's needs to be on your list of places to check out when you're in Nashville.

Las Paletas is a one-of-a-kind ice pop shop located in the 12th South neighborhood of Nashville. I'm talking this places has almost every flavor combination possible and definitely has something available for every flavor palette. Pro Tip: get there early on a hot summer day to ensure you get the flavor you want.
