Beware, spoilers included. Any TV show that can hold for 12 seasons must have huge amount of fans and Supernatural is one of those shows, fans like it so much that I don't think it will ever end. Plot in Supernatural is a mess, most of the characters died at one point and came back to life, cause why the hell not. There are angels, demons, vampires, reapers, even god is one of the characters, and who can forget big baddie Lucifer. It is a show that doesn't take itself too seriously and that is the main reason why Supernatural has so many fans and can't seem to die.
In 12th season main theme is revolving around British Men of Letters, an organization whose goal is to eradicate all monsters, and they started to meddle in american hunters affairs. Meanwhile Lucifer impregnated president's lover, cause why the hell not, and she is now bearing the devil's child that everyone wants to kill. Sam and Dean are Sam and Deaning, Castiel is being Castiel and Crowley is there to be Crowley, Mary Winchester came back to life and she is struggling to be a mom while slaying monsters. It all ended with a bang.
Most of the main characters died, Crowley, Castiel (or so we think) Mary and Lucifer are stuck in other dimension, Sam and Dean are left with Lucifer's son. 13th season isn't really needed but we will have it never the less and enjoy some more of chevy impala, hard rock and humor this show produces for 12 seasons already.
Im huge fan of this show but some of the last seasons are not so good ..............

I skipped Grimm unfortunately. When we talk about that kind of TV shows one must mention True Blood, that show was insanely good.
