PAPA-PEPPER PEPPER REVIEW & TASTE TEST - SUGAR RUSH PEACH

in review •  7 years ago

This was a new variety for me this year!

Yes, @papa-pepper actually likes peppers! In fact, I like to grow a lot of them. Each year, I seem to try out a few new varieties. This one I happened upon at a natural food store, where they had some seedlings for sale. Not knowing anything about it, I still wanted to give it a try.

Apparently it was bred by Chris Fowler in Wales, and he credits the pollinating insects with actually creating the breed. It boasts plentiful yields that are ready early, and combines the sweet with the heat. It was a very tasty breakfast for me this morning, and I'll definitely be growing it again. To hear more about this pepper and to watch me eat my first one ever, check out the video below.

Excellent! That looks really tasty!

I don't relly like pepper but my wife like it very much...I guess she will love that kind of variety. I hope it will be available here in the Philippines. It looks delicious when you are eating it and enjoying. Where can we order it online @papa-pepper? Thank you for sharing...

I know that pepper of yours will be delious. nice cultivation @papa-pepper
soon go and cultivate on of this pepper

That is awesome! A great idea for a new segment. I will admit, I am not a spicy heat fan. lol but I love sweet bell peppers, and snacking peppers. yum yum. :) And they are certainly fun to grow in a garden.

those are crazy looking, did they start out green and turn that color or are they always that color?

They did start out light green.

That's a new one for me Papa Pepper. You'll have to save me one of those. I'm sure they are good. Oh, and Speaking of peppers, I found a brand of Ghost Pepper tortilla chips that were the hottest chips I've ever had yet. Took me 3 days to eat the bag because after eating a handful I couldn't take the heat anymore. I immediately thought of you thinking they might actually be too hot for Papa Pepper LOL.

Those sound tasty! I should have brought you some of my homemade pepper powder!

Here are the chips if you happen to find them in a store near you.

Having you do taste tests is brilliantly helpful..nice job @papa-pepper 🌈🌴🦋💛

We've got some great ones to come!

I know this specie of pepper, it has a sweet taste. Back when I used to help my mum in the farm. We could eat it raw with a uncooked cassava. Many will never understand how delicious this is.

Very delicious indeed! Thanks @lordjames.

I like the papa-pepper taste test, that is going to be a great series. Tell me you don't eat the ghosts straight off the plant. I grew some last year and put one per pint of salsa, and I ended up having to eat all of them myself. Everyone here would take one bite and be done.

That is really interesting that the peppers get hot as you migrate up towards the stem! Thanks for sharing!

I think I would like this one in a salsa for dipping with tortilla chips. The kids would love it. Spicy but not to hot for them. Perhaps chopped raw for use on fish tacos?

Greetings papa-pepper. You have a beautiful garden and that pepper looks delicious. I also love peppers and looking forward to watch more of your future videos you are doing a great job contributing some great content and amazing info about peppers.
