Welcome to Earth, Attilan

And goodbye, Maximus.
Or is it really?

Marvel's Inhumans ends with some great cliffhangers that actually leaves us hoping for a second season, even though the first was a massive failure. Before we get to these though, lets take a look at the episode itself.

Maximus the Selfish

Maximus' revelation at the end of last episode that he had rigged the dome to collapse unless he called it off cemented one fact about the traitorous inhuman-turned-human. He is inherently selfish. Basically, it's either he gets Attilan, or no one does. Knowing this, it's little wonder his closest allies Auran and Bronaja both betray him at the end.

After Maximus escapes from Black Bolt and returns to the terrigenesis chamber, only to find Dr. Declan dead at Gorgon's hand and the terrigen crystals gone. He summons Bronaja and orders him to tell him the future, clearly implying he doesn't trust him at all. Bronaja complies, and tells him he sees Maximus as the undisputed king of Attilan with Black Bolt gone, calming him down some.

Coming to Earth

Meanwhile, seeing Maximus's plan, Karnak notices a flaw --they might not be able to stop the collapse of the protective dome, even if Maximus calls it off. At this Black Bolt orders everyone to start getting ready for the evacuation of the entire Attilan, revealing that the bunker was created for protection agaonst the Inhumans' greatest enemy. Medusa takes the Crystals to Earth and places them under her friend Louisa's care, then proceeds to ask her agency for a place to bring the inhumans to. Crystal makes a deal with Eldrac to use him to transport everyone away.
Auran guides Medusa to Maximus along with the last piece of terrigen crystal on the Moon. Maximus is desperate for it to complete Dr. Declan's work on him, but refuses to step down from the throne in exchange. Seeing that he's too far gone, Medusa destroys the crystal. However, when Maximus orders Auran to kill her, Auran refuses, claiming she promised her safety. Black Bolt decides they have no choice, and with Karnak's help, and Medusa by his side, gives the news to the people.

Gorgon the Mad --Karnak's mistake

Gorgon is back, but he is barely Gorgon anymore. After killing Declan unceremoniously, he is caught by some of Maximus' guards and thrown into a cell where Karnak is. Although he attempts to kill him, Karnak calms him down a bit, and he breaks them out with brute force. Throughout the episode he is constantly confused at who is is and who his friends or enemies are, but Karnak guides him until they have to evacuate to Earth.

Bronaja's Prophesy Fulfilled

Maximus is shocked when everybody follows Black Bolt's directive, even Auran, believing he could stop the destruction at any time. However, when he tries, it's already too late. The dome would collapse. Everyone else leaves, but Black Bolt, knowing his brother, decides he's too dangerous to just leave unchecked. He meets him, sitting desolate in the throne room. And now, Maximus confesses.
The document that had caused his brother to lose control and kill their parents had been of his making, but still, he blames Black Bolt for taking the throne when he had previously promised it to him. Unknowing to him, Black Bolt only took the throne after being told of their greatest enemy by the genetic council. Only his voice could protect the inhumans, so he has to be able king. Maximus, of course, scoffs at this, and asks Black bolt to go ahead and kill him.

Instead, Black Bolt knocks him out and takes him to the bunker which, as Maximus himself notes, is full of resources to keep someone alive for a century. Then he locks him in and seals the bunker by muttering his only words of the series, "Goodbye, brother", which cause the overlying structure to collapse upon it, effectively sealing it forever. Then he uses Eldrac and joins the people of Attilan on Earth.

The Future

Immediately Black Bolt leaves Attilan, the dome collapses. The Kree markings on the throne begin to glow a bright blue, and although the Inhumans are relieved, Black Bolt is not. Medusa notices this and inquires, and he responds that they e only traded one threat for another.

As I said, we are left with a lot of questions. Who is this threat Black Bolt is so worried about?
Is this really the end of Maximus?
Where on Earth have they been settled, and what next for the people of Attilan?
And lastly, will we ever get answers to these?

Guess we'll have to wait and see!
