If you want to sell Crypto fast be sure to stay away from megachange.is. Here is my experience.

I know that for a lot of you that come from a civilized world this may sound odd but exchanging crypto to fiat can be a pain in the ass in eastern Europe. If you are OK with waiting a couple of days (sometimes weeks) then exchanges like Poloniex, Hit BTC and others will work fine but, if you want your money delivered in a day or two that could cause some issues.

I have come across a lot of websites like this one but MegaChange is something unique on the internet.

This website description (that I didn't see at first) is just screaming with legitimacy. I love the correct wording and real-time mode.

I wanted to exchange one LTC as fast as possible and this exchange promised a "fast transaction". Up to 24 working hours, to be exact. So 3 days max while exchanges sometimes take 7 or more.

The next logical step was to look around the website and see how things work. It was very simple. Send your LTC and chose where you want the money deposited. In my case it was Payoneer. I sent my LTC and got an email that my transaction will be manually approved. While I waited I found a "verify ID" option so I thought it would be a good thing to do asap so it doesn't slow down the processing time. Here is where the fun started.

I was asked, in pure, well-written English, to pay 10e for my ID verification. I play poker from time to time. I have done at least 20 ID verification on numerous poker websites and many others. Not a single one of them asked me to pay for ID verification. The best part is that you don't really have do it. You can deposit 1k euros and transfer money freely with no ID verification required. Money laundering 101...

The next logical step was to ask the support about this issue and do I really need to do an ID check for a $160 transaction. Before I show you the conversation be sure to read this.

I actually got my money today and it was a fun ride. How I got my money is a very interesting story as well. I got an email saying that I was paid. I checked my balance that was unchanged, went back to this website and opened a dispute. A chat window was opened with a man asking when will he get his money. Sadly I didn't screenshot this because I was figuring out what the hell was going on.

After we exchanged a few words this person explained that they want to send money to Skrill from some other payment processor. In order to do that they need to send me the $160 as they were instructed by this website. At this point, I realized that this was a peer-to-peer exchange. Not to meniton that there is no word about that on the home page. In theory, this works fine but in reality, the website had to match me with someone who actually has a Payoneer account and wants to send the exact amount of money that I was requesting. This thing could take weeks if not months.

I wanted to make this post as a heads up to all of you. Stick to exchanges and bank transfers because on websites like Megachange you can get stuck for a long time while your questions will probably remain unanswered by their first-class support.
