This is my first post on here.
I am a music producer and content creator. Due to the recent events unfolding on the world stage, humanity has started connecting the dots between the events in Palestine,Congo,Sudan and the (now obviously) corrupt global system at a never before seen rate. As a result, ALL major social media platforms have engaged in suppresing certain stories, while promoting others that fit the narrative of the global elites.
To me, it seems that there is only one way to move forward: everyday users actively campaigning to get everybody in a digital space where free speech is protected and personal safety is insured.
I know decentralized social media is new and the users are few but if there was ever a time to reclaim our power as people by re establishing common ownership of our information flow, that time is now.
If any programers are seeing this post, PLEASE: Make it entertaining and easily accesible. The less steps when signing up, the better. And it pains me to say it but it needs to keep peoples attention.
If anybody else is seeing this, PLEASE: raise awareness and convince the people around you to join the fun. Here are some selling points:
*Free speech and algorithmic fairness guaranteed.
*Shared ownership over the revenue created by content creators
*The ability to protect your privacy as much as you wish
