Rheumatism or rheumatoid arthritis is a disease characterized by joint pain, also known as rheumatoid arthritis. This disease is an autoimmune disease when a person's immune system attacks the body's own cells. In this case, the joint area is an area that is attacked by the immune system of people with rheumatism. As a result, chronic inflammation and intense pain occur in the affected joints. Joints that experience swelling and pain as a symptom of rheumatoid arthritis usually feel warm and tender to the touch. The pain usually occurs in both the right and left joints (symmetrical), but may vary in severity depending on which side is used more often. Rheumatism can affect almost any joint in the body, but the joints in the wrists, knuckles, knees, and ankles are most commonly affected.
