AGAINST YOU, everything you say... to anyone from the govern-cement

Everything you say can and will be used against you

Everything you say, can and will be used against you...

This is the root of everything that is wrong with government.
It is against you. There is no for or against you. There is only AGAINST you.

All govern-cement officials, (police, CPS, inspectors) are all looking for what you have done wrong. And they love nothing better than for you to incriminate yourself.

It is their job to find something wrong and fine you for it. Their job isn't to make sure all things are right with the world. Their job is to find every nail that sticks up and hammer it. And then, if they have any more time, to go and find nails that might be thinking of poking their heads up. Because all nails needed to be hammered down.

If you are 90% good, they won't say, well, you aren't perfect, but you are good enough, they will dig and find that 10% and fine you for it. They do not care about making the world a better place. They do not even have the tools or metrics to measure that. All they have is a number. The number of fines they made. The number of tickets they wrote. The number of kids they took away. There is no other metrics. That is the entirety of their job.

You may say that "not all officers are like that," and sure, most of them are decent human beings. But many are assholes. And ALL of them have a job to do, and that job is measured in one number.

Lets look at an example. A parking meter. There was a guy that enjoyed taking his change and putting it into meters as he walked around the town. To you and me, this is a boon. The meters get paid and no one gets a ticket. Win! But the city and the meter attendant make their money and their work evaluations by the amount of tickets they write. Thus, this guy was an enemy of the state. And was dragged through the courts and laws were created to stop such evil.

So, realize, whenever dealing with an officer, that you are a potential number in their eyes.

...if you give up the right to remain silent, everything you say, can and will be used against you.

There is nothing in this about anything good you say. Even in a court, where everyone is supposed to tell the truth and the whole truth, the officers are under no obligation to repeat anything good you said. So, this is a very one sided "right". Talking to an officer can only dig you a deeper hole.

Expect to be lied to. For several reasons. The officer does not want to tip their hand. The officer does not want to admit to you having rights. And the officer wants you to get angry and defend yourself.

Police officers will often say something outrageous that you might have done, so that you will blurt out a response in anger, but anything you say will be used against you. They do not care about actually stopping crime, if they can get you to admit to anything they will fine/arrest you.

Officers have been well documented as lying in court. To them, it is just part of the system. Expect it. Record every conversation with officers.

This goes for every type of officer. Especially Child Protective Services.

Governments around the world,
are using "Child Protection Agencies"
to take children away from loving families
and place them in foster care or group homes
or put up for adoption.
THESE FAMILIES NEED PROTECTING.

Thank-you @builderofcastles for supporting @familyprotection

I am glad you liked it. It was inspired by #familyprotection article. But, it wasn't specifically about family protection, and I was worried about using the tag.

Indeed an astute observation. Yes it is sad and we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Well that one flipped. Wonderful but sad point. Thanks.

to be fair you also have a right to say nothing and a right to an attorney. people all too often don't use them.

"...against you..." is not a right. It is a statement.

And, it is the govern-cement telling all exactly how they operate.

The right to say nothing or to an attorney are both catch 22s. They are both damned if you do, damned if you don't. Each one requiring a long post or two to unpack. So, I didn't even broach those subjects.

It's a warning, no matter where you are your statements will be used against you in a court of law but in America we require the police to warn everyone about that. It's not a catch 22, if you keep your mouth shut and get a lawyer then you will usually walk unless you were caught red handed, even in that case you will probably get less time if you shutup and lawyer up.
And if you actually didn't commit a crime and you stay shut and lawyer up you will almost always be vindicated.

Yhats theword used in court and its actually right.
Nice post and educative one indeed

I think that such people unfortunately work in many organizations and departments. They spoil the reputation of honest people who are really good at doing their job (but these are units...)

This happens all the time. Thanks for the info. Joy
