A sign of getting older. My mom had a knot on her left wrist, before she stopped working. She thought about having it removed, but she didn't. Then she got rheumatoid arthritis. Lots of pain. Her hands turn inward instead of resting comfortably by her sides. closing

I saw my first knot, on the back of my left hand last year. It raises and lowers, like an adam's apple, when I open and close my hand. Not that much pain right now. It's just weird. And it's great to be getting older. My hyperbole, get older or get dead. closing

I got a lot of things from my mom. It's not her fault. She's 85 years old. If she didn't tell you she had pain, you'd never know. The cyst is supposed to be a nerve ending weaking, a misfiring synapse. Well mine is muscular and skeletal, since I can see my hand opening and closing. But like the magic wand underneath the hankerchief, that knot rises and falls also.
