It is very common to for @risingstargame to come up with something engaging and expand the game in a new direction after every few months. One of the best things about these new additions is that they tend to be in perfect harmony with old gameplay styles. It is not compulsory for the players to learn about the new feature and start using it. They could continue to play Rising Star as if nothing happened. They will be missing out on some things. This article is on something I decided not to miss out on.
Shiny Happy People Mission
What we have here is another sink for STARPRO and another long term addition to Special Missions. Completing the Mission once means a 0.5% chance at getting the Shiny Card. 1 STARPRO is enough for 1,000 attempts. The price of STARPRO has remained somewhat stable against $HIVE over the past 3 months. This could be one of the better times for Shiny Happy People Mission as I believe bull market to be far from over.
Even failure is not that bad since there is a STARDUST Reward that could be used for cosmetics. Some cosmetics have special uses such as the "Its a Stick Up" Mission. That is how I got my avatar to look the way it does now. @stickupboys have been doing a lot of good things for HIVE.
STARPRO cannot be withdrawn anymore. This is similar to what @splinterlands did with VOUCHERs as a way to improve Tokenomics. Those who have STARPRO from various sources such as Music Promoter can try their luck at Shiny Happy People. Since the Mission only takes 5 minutes to complete, it is rare to find many concurrent players.
Getting Lucky With Rewards
I did not have to complete the Mission 200 times to get to the Shiny Card. I may have completed somewhere around 10 Missions over the course of few days. After one Mission completion, the results came somewhat different from the usual. I went to check out my Collection afterwards.
The first thing I checked out was the S106 First Mint. Although 5 players already had it, I was not fortunate enough to have one. There is none on the market for sale. I do not see any Stats on this Card either. I wonder if this is a purely cosmetic Card or whether there would be any special use cases for this extremely rare Card.
E65 The Crow
This is not the same as E65s The Crow. The Stats for the two Cards are exactly the same. As a player who is mainly playing Rising Star for gameplay with profiting off of assets as an extra perk, the Stats I see are the most important for me.
E65s The Crow
It is smart to bring back one of the discontinued Cards. The creative team had less work on their hands and I get a Card with 3.5X more Skill than Fans. Most Cards I have gained over time did not have more Skill than Fans. Having more contributes to increasing Ego which leads to less STARBITS earned through Missions.
On top of the very favorable utility, E65s The Crow has a market value that is far higher than the older discontinued version. 350,000 STARBITS can be swapped for 1.31949999 HIVE on HIVE-Engine. We are looking at 18.94X higher prices. Due to the low volumes of NFT sales, I don't know if this high value sale will be completed or not.
The Future
I had a very good experience with Shiny Happy People and contributed to spending more STARPRO. I got lucky and I earned a very good Card that is worth far more than the value of STARPRO I spent. I don't intend to try my luck again at the same Card. I want to wait and see what the next Card is going to be. Overall I'm very happy about Shiny Happy People being a part of the game. I'm happy to be a part of Rising Star game community. I would like to wish everyone Best of Luck for the future!
