It's been a few months since the Steam Deck was released and we're baffled by the excitement as more people welcome the Steam Deck and share their experiences. The team loved seeing photos and videos of where it's being used, how they're using it, how they're customizing it and what they've been playing. Keep sending your experiences!
lock screen
A lock screen was a feature that was highly requested, both by us here at the company and by the community. Users can now set a PIN with the touchscreen or buttons and there are settings for the lock screen to appear when waking up the Steam Deck, turning it on, logging in and/or switching to Computer Mode. We believe this brings a little more peace of mind, especially for those who have children or younger siblings who like to tinker with things they shouldn't.
keyboards
The Steam Deck virtual keyboard just keeps getting better. We have recently added more localized keyboards and we now have keyboards adapted for a total of 26 languages and layouts. Users can activate multiple keyboards at the same time and switch between them using the new globe key on the keyboard. We are currently working on keyboards for Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages, which will be available soon.
feats
The achievements page has been redesigned for the Steam Deck: it is now faster to load and easier to navigate. Users can toggle between personal and global stats or use the new drop-down menu to compare their achievements with a friend who also plays that game.

Multiple window management
The Steam Deck now works with games and applications that have multiple windows. Just press the Steam button during a game and the panel will show new options to change the active window. This is especially useful for games and applications that may have more than one window, such as web browsers and games with launchers.
external screens
Our efforts continue to increase the Steam Deck's compatibility with more external USB-C docking stations and to make the Steam Deck interface more adaptable to monitors of various sizes. We've just released an update that scales the interface to a virtual resolution of 1280x800 when displayed on an external display, and we're continuing to work on improving compatibility with external displays.
Game-specific performance profiles
The Steam Deck includes a number of built-in features that allow you to adjust settings such as frame rate (and recently refresh rate), TDP, and more. All of this was designed for users who like to customize their experience. We've recently added the ability to save specific settings for each game or application, so users don't have to manually change settings every time they play a different game. This works not only with Steam games but also with non-Steam games that have been added as shortcuts to the library.
Offline Mode
Offline Mode has received some attention in recent updates. It is now much faster to enter and exit Offline Mode, in addition to having become more accessible and many bugs typical of this mode have been fixed.
Remote Play
https://sites.google.com/view/dvvtmony/p%C3%A1gina-inicial
Remote Play on the Steam Deck has also received some much-needed updates. For example, the Deck system buttons now work as expected, an option to stop streams has been added to the interface, and the list of recently played games (on the main screen) has been updated to include streamed games.
Remote Play Together
Remote Play Together (the feature that allows users to play remotely with others as if they were all sitting in front of the same computer) is now fully functional on the Steam Deck. You can either create or join Remote Play Together sessions.
Updated fan behavior
The Steam Deck has a new fan behavior curve controlled by the operating system, which makes it smarter, more responsive and much quieter in less intensive usage situations. For those who prefer the way the fan worked before, it is possible to revert to the old behavior in the System > Settings menu. We will continue to work on improvements, so let us know what you think.
Adjustable refresh rate
Now, the screen refresh rate during games can be adjusted at any time to any value between 40 and 60 Hz. This feature is revolutionary for finding that perfect balance between frame rate, game quality and battery life. And, of course, you can set and save specific values for each game.

More SteamOS updates
We've also developed a bunch of OS-level updates, such as a higher maximum volume limit, more internal screen resolution options for games, quick formatting for microSD cards, and more.
SD card compatibility
Our team has also been working hard on all things SD cards. It is now possible to use them as boot devices, formatting them should take less time and it is tested if a card is fake and has less space than expected before formatting.
Windows compatibility
In the last few months, some important updates have been released that make Windows a more viable option on the Steam Deck for those who prefer this operating system. We've released an update that has implemented fTPM support, which allows you to install Windows 11. We've also just released audio drivers for Windows 10 and 11. You can find all that information here.
And much more
There is a whole range of changes and fixes that have come to the Steam Deck, such as the addition of the Steam hardware survey, the optimization of the library for users with a lot of games, the addition of pinned notifications for certain types of notifications, lots of updates to the configurator of the command and several general fixes that improve the user experience. All of these changes (and more) can be found in the update notes detailed here.
Deck Verified

Lastly, a brief state of play on the Deck Verified program: there are now over 3000 games rated "Playable" and "Approved" on the Steam Deck.
We will continue to test new releases and older games at a steady pace as we work on the technology behind it. Our team recently released Proton-7.0-2, which adds and improves compatibility with many games, and is already hard at work on version 7.0-3.
Speaking of game compatibility, it's important to note that game compatibility with Steam Deck is improving not only because of our work, but also thanks to the incredible efforts of developers. The 10 Most Played Games on the Deck in the Last Month*
are all rated "Approved", but that's only due to the efforts of members across the industry: four of these ten games were rated "Incompatible" or "Playable" — and would remain so if the devs hadn't worked to improve the experience for Deck users. While we're highlighting these games here, the same kind of work is happening across Steam's massive catalog.
For now, it's everything
As for today's roundup, we'll stop here, but there's always more news on the way!
Aperture Desk Job, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Elden Ring, Hades, No Man's Sky, Rogue Legacy 2, Slay the Spire, Stardew Valley, Vampire Survivors and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. We hope the variety of games on this list is as exciting for you as it is for us.
