Are you looking for apartments for rent in Dubai?

If yes, then the next thing is, do you know how to look for an apartment or house for rent in Dubai. Here are the step-by-step instructions for you:

1.Start with looking for an apartment

If you are looking for an apartment or house for renting it for long term or short term, you can start looking for it online through the websites that offer information about rented accommodation. There are websites such as hopohomes.com that offer you listings of apartment or house available for rent in Dubai. On these websites, you can find the search options that will filter the listings based on what you need and can afford. Narrow down the list of properties you are interested in and contact the concerned party mentioned with the available property.

2. Visit the place

Once you have made the list of apartments or houses that you are interested in for rent in Dubai, next step should be to visit each place on your list until you find the one you are looking for. You need to make sure that you never miss any details and take photos if needed. Check everything about the place like mode of public transportation available nearby, security of the building and neighborhood, neighbors, condition of the apartment, fixture and fittings, condition of the walls and paintwork, any possible leakage, condition of the furniture (if place comes furnished), ask about nearest facilities like grocery store, laundry, restaurants, malls, and so on.

3. Discuss the rent

Once you have decided your apartment or house for rent in Dubai, negotiate the rent amount. When you decide to rent the apartment, you may want to negotiate the rent amount. Also go through other details like date of moving, duration of the contract, security deposit amount, and any other details you or landlord might want to include in the rental agreement.

4. Reserve your rented space by paying a security deposit

If you have decided which property you want to rent in Dubai, the landlord will probably ask you to pay the refundable security deposit. You can either pay by cheque or cash based on what has been decided between you, your agent and the landlord. Ensure that you get a receipt for the security deposit you pay. Along with the deposit, also give the necessary documents to your agent so that he or she can get the rental agreement ready.

5. Finally, review and sign the agreement

The agent will send you the agreement which will contain all the necessary information regarding the rent agreed by both the parties. Review the agreement and sign it. The agreement must fulfill the tenancy rules and regulations applicable in Dubai. Once both the parties have signed the agreement, you will get a copy of the agreement.

6. Set up an account with DEWA

After renting the apartment, set up an account with Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) and pay a refundable deposit and fee.

7. Ejari Registration

After that register with Ejari and submit your original DEWA connection receipt, along with other documents including original rent agreement, copies of you and your landlord’s passport, copy of tenant’s Emirates ID

8. Move in

When you get your move-in permit, move in and enjoy your new home.
