Nostalgia ... free sid chip included with linux

Well not really "included as such"

well its not github and i'm not really trying to educate although if anyone gets anything from anything i say i guess thats a nice bonus. It's just my journey as i dive nose first below the surface. I forgot
in the underground is where the shadows are

all that nostalgia reminded me of something ... you can have your own sid chip for free with linux ! it doesnt come pre-installed but its right there in the repo's , 100% free, and because less clutter and options a whole lot easier to use than fruityloops for instance (nothing wrong with floops ofcourse ... xept the price, which isnt OTT for software like that...
its simply not something my hobby could afford right now (and i dont think it comes with a sid-chip)

to get it you would

sudo apt-get -y install lmms

the "-y" means it will not ask you for permission lol so maybe you wanna leave that out if you're not confident, i have it because i have a script i use on fresh installs that removes half the crap i dont need and install a lot of crap i never use but i would love to

like for intance LMMS, one step beyond hydrogen and no external devices needed (although a few knob&roller boxes would make life a lot more fun when connected to this on a half decent pc you can go all-out chemical brothers if you like.

i'm not much of a writer of harrpy hotter fan fic but i can get obsessed just like anyone and its been a while since i had free sex (cf. quote etc ..)

i was all day like

while figuring out that script that in the end worked as long as the vote didnt go below 9800 (98%) after which it was stuck at 9222 until it was back to 100 so my guess is either cache troubles feeding me the same page i request 12 times per hour for hours on end OR im peeking the wrong poke in the wrong place , i'm sure i'll figure it out by v0.01

the tune there has like this fabulous "bridge" imo , its totally 8bit oldskool but back in the day the Sid was like a gift from Nakamoto

with the ultimate hero :

who didnt go to school for any of that, mind you, but is the master and will ever be , even dalglish or none , jeroen tel , ... all masters but we should "the" master is the master after all. I suppose if you were there, back when the world was young and titans walked the earth, Hubbard would be most famous for his score on capcoms hit commando ... but like everything that's debatable ofcourse

so i remembered it comes here, that runs on celeron system btw, the cheapest rig i could assemble, celeron cpu, ddr4 ram and a 32gb SSD drive, you do that on windos, it will tell you "BUY NEW STUFF"

i dont have a desktop recorder though and with all my faith i doubt it would properly record four desktops with two browsers, about 30 tabs and a music program playing

but it show what can be done by fiddling around, i havent had inspiration in years but you can make actual music with it

there's no license to pay for, you do whatever you want with whatever you create

or you can just waste time fiddling knobs if your gf won't let you fiddle hers (or bf ... whutever)

i dont own the rights to IK ofcourse, but if anyone starts bugging about THAT they can do it in public ...

git gud git sid, costs nothing, it doesnt require scores but you can go "by ear" as you do the piano roll after all

the best coders are musicians too (yea you can look that up :p) because that's just what it is ... from fast tracker using opcodes where you had to literally program reverb or delay over several tracks triggering the same sample over and over with different volumes and offsets to this to whatever it is why no one really understands what they're doing anymore

the low level is highly underappreciated , and portability leads to

well we all know the legend of pc-ports, don't we ? one size fits all, sell out, then 6 months of patching before half the buyers can play it CUuzzz, custom is not how its done anymore, if i sound old ?

so does beathoven

DAMN, that bridge in the IK soundtrack is e p IIIIII c

pardon the LO-q on my €50 huawei kitkat phone its just i couldnt help myself but showing how oiseau you can get in under five minutes without planning thats all ... i get like that ... obsessed and compulsive (and probably lots of other nasty stuff)
