Sinaia is a city located in the province of Prahova, Romania, with a population of 16,000. The name Sinaia was given after the Sinaia Monastery was built. Sinaia Monastery is named after Mount Sinai in the Bible. It is also known as the location of Peleš Castle, the summer palace of King Karol I, and is also famous as a resort area.
