So, 13 Russian nationals were indicted for election “interference” charges today.
What does this mean for Trump? Nothing. Not one thing.
Read the actual indictment. No, I'm not giving you a link. Look it up your damn self!
It states clearly any communication with the Trump campaign was “unwitting” on the part of his campaign.
What did their actions include or what are they accused of? Things like disparaging tweets and posts about Hillary. Yet they also sponsored a Hillary rally. Once again, our government is accusing Russia of being responsible for BLM. You know, because black people were completely okay with being gunned down in the streets unless Russia got involved. They also posted pro and anti Bernie and Jill material.
Grand total budget? $1 million. In an election season which saw over $2 billion in spending. Which makes their total budget roughly 0.05% of all campaign spending. Okay, that budget was per year beginning in 2014. So for three years, it comes to 0.15% of campaign spending. So, for every $100 spent, they spent 15 cents.
Let's revisit some previous numbers. From when Google, FB and Twitter testified. “Russian-linked accounts” accounted for 0.74% of election-related tweets. If I recall correctly, they accounted for 0.4% of FB posts.
So you have no collusion. Less than 1% of social media posts. Maximum 0.15% of election spending.
Yet for Rachel Madcow and Investigate Russia (usually one and the same) devotees, this will again be the smoking gun that brings Trump down. Do I expect them to read the actual indictment? No. If they do, they will cherry pick the words they want to see in it. I read the whole thing and not worth repeating all of it. Yes, they will be criminally charged. Yes, they will be convicted for maybe 1-2 years at most. Or just deported.
Yet we will spend many $millions pursuing what should be basically misdemeanor charges. The media will have people screaming for blood. Politicians will be trying to capitalize on it. The public will pay even LESS attention to what CONgress is doing. No policies will change.
One thing may happen. More censorship. More of YOUR rights taken away from you.
Other than that, I am going to sit back and watch people allow themselves getting played. Again. By their own choice.
Great job, America.
