I sold all my possessions and business and moved to Vladivostok Russia with my Wife. We bought a 2 room apartment and are in the process of making neccessary repairs to make life comfortable. It's been a very interesting and adventurous so far and we have accomplished a lot. My friends and family in America think we are crazy but we are living the life we want and do not define success in the same way that other Americans do, my wife was born in Russia and it just makes sense for us.

Vladivostok, First off, congratulations on having the courage for taking such an adventure. I am just coming upon your post some 9 months following the start of your adventure and would be curious how you are adjusting? I have traveled to Tomsk a few times and was shocked how beautiful it is. Life almost seems ideal in such a setting and certainly offers a much higher quality of life. I am very curious to know how your adjustment process has gone? I live in NH but work 4 months a year in Hong Kong and Malaysia, but am searching for a new base camp. All the best.
