Today I made some shrimp sahanaki (which is basically shrimps cooked in tomato sauce with feta cheese).
I made the sauce with onion, garlic, a spice mix for chicken (as this was the only jar of spices we had in our summer house and I was too bored to go shopping today), mustard and a little oregano and in the end I added some grated white goat cheese. The sauce needed boiling for a few more minutes, but Little Man was crying and I had to feed him. Anyway, it was tasty, just a little more juicy than I wanted.
I served my shrimps with kritharaki pasta (for more info on kritharaki, read this Kritharaki – a Greek Pasta Similar To Orzo Pasta ). It's a really quick and tasty dish. Just sauté the pasta in some margarine or oil and then add twice its volume in water, plus one third *(for example I cooked one and a half glasses of kritharaki and used 4 glasses of water. Add one or two stock cubes (I had beef cubes in the fridge) and your dish is ready to serve in about 20 minutes.
What did you have for lunch today?
