The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell six-point-99 points, or zero-point-26 percent, on Tuesday, closing the day at two-thousand-680-point-46.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose however, gaining five-point-75 points, or zero-point-64 percent, to close at 907-point-57.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-seven won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-267-point-eight won.
