Superstar Rajinikanth managed to wrap back to back films in his career recently with 2.0 and Kaala. While 2.0 has been made on a massive budget and is helmed by Shankar, the makers wanted huge time for the post-production work to be wrapped up. The makers announced that the film will hit the screens during Republic Day weekend and the audio of 2.0 has been unveiled in a lavish event in Dubai.
However there are strong talks that 2.0 release has been pushed to summer and it will hit the screens on April 13th 2018 on which Kaala has been announced for release. This left the makers of Kaala in shock and with nothing much to do, they have been left in waiting mode. Kaala has been directed by PA Ranjith and Rajinikanth will be seen as a gangster in the film.
The makers of Kaala clarified that they are not ready for Sankranthi release and will wait for the next available date after the release of 2.0. Eswari Rao, Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi will be seen in other pivotal roles in Kaala which has been produced by Dhanush.
