Another busy day.
Scrambled eggs with meat and tomatoes and cheese (and of course, eggs) for breakfast.
Triscuit crackers with hummus (the brand has the word "hope" in it) for lunch. The crackers are the cracked pepper flavor.
Three bowls of Mexican Chili for dinner. Those ingredients include black beans, white kidney (or cannellini) beans, sweet corn, tomatoes, ground beef, and various spices.
Gluten free birthday cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert.
I worked for about five hours today, pumping milk once. Immediately after work (where I didn't quite finish everything), I had to leave home again with my family to go to the pool where we held my child's birthday party. We had the dinner, cake, and presents part at the outdoor park near the pool. Then when that was done we all went to the pool to swim. A good time was had by all. A successful party, and the one I put the least effort into due to extreme time constraints. The dinner was one of my crockpot make ahead meals. I baked the cake, but one of my other kids made the frosting and decorated it. At the pool I was mostly watching the preschooler, who very happily splashed around and made a new friend, and nursed the baby. The baby loves the water, but I don't get him fully wet until about twenty minutes before we leave, so that he doesn't have a chance to get too cold. We had fun. The only problem was Baby was not interested in riding in the car seat and despite being nursed several times, still cried most of the way home. He's now asleep. I think the little guy was just exhausted from all the fun.
My interactions today consisted mainly of giving hurried logistical directions to various family members. People were quite cooperative.
