Breakfast this morning was an omelette made with eggs, butter, cheddar cheese, orange bell peppers and tomatoes. I also had a plate of salad (lettuce, orange and red bell peppers, and carrots) and a glass of orange juice.
Snack consisted of some kind of sweet bread with cinnamon honey butter spread. I also had some kind of bar cookie which was made of carrot, zucchini, coconut, pecans, and whole wheat flour, and probably sugar. I'm not sure of all the ingredients as someone else made it. It was delicious, and I couldn't stop eating them. Later on I had quite a few Hershey's almond chocolate kisses.
I had a large plate of salad (same ingredients as above) with some kind of vinaigrette dressing for lunch.
For dinner I had a beef roast with potatoes, onions and carrots, along with some kind of raspberry chipotle dip.
For a late snack I enjoyed two slices of sourdough bread with butter and cheddar cheese, a glass of orange juice, and another plate of salad.
It was a good full day. Interactions were pleasant all around. I worked for seven hours pumping milk once. Work was intense and as usual I have the feeling I'm just a hair short on time but somehow manage to get done the essential things. After work I joined my family at some friends' house and had some good conversation with the wife/mother of the other family. My kids and her kids get along very well. The only stressful part was trying to find her house for the first time after it had gotten dark. I had to turn around once, but I did find it without too much trouble.
I haven't written as much about nursing the baby, but it definitely happens. The little guy is growing like a weed.
Tomorrow I plan to work on some make-ahead frozen meals while my older kids are in school. I have used up all but one of the meals I made in the last two batches, so it's important to stock up. I also plan to make some more meals the day after tomorrow after I have a chance to go shopping for some ingredients.
And we'll have some out of town family visiting for most of the week. I will post my food and feelings diary tomorrow and then after that I will eat all sorts of things and feel all sorts of things... and not write about them here on Steemit :)
Some of you readers are probably wondering if I'm capable of writing anything else. To that I say time will tell. I'd love to write as many as four posts a day on many different topics. Time doesn't usually allow for that much writing. But if I get inspired, I'm able to carve out the time from somewhere. The food/feeling diary was my part in @williambanks science in anarchy experiment where people could see if taking an over the counter medication such as Tylenol or Advil could help them feel better from depression like symptoms caused by eating overly processed foods. I was part of the control group, and my diet is fairly natural and unprocessed for the most part, though I'm by no means a purist.
Time to call it a night.
