Science in anarchy experiment 1 day 30

Two days ago was the last day of this science experiment for me. That was also the first day of a week long visit from out of town family, so finding a few moments to blog about the food and feelings for the day has been challenging.

Breakfast on Monday was a small bowl of oat meal with raisins. I ended up driving the children to school (usually it's my husband). After dropping them off at school I picked up my order from Sam's Club and then headed home. I prepared a bunch of make ahead crock pot freezer meals because we'd run out. My goal is to make a few every week, but for various reasons it had been three weeks since I last prepared any.

The irony about spending a lot of time on food preparation is that I tend to not eat very well while working on it. I did have some leftover Mexican chili for lunch. I added copious amounts of cheese to it. I also had a cup of caffeinated coffee with raw honey and cream.

Dinner was a delicious grilled roast. It's basically steak, but much thicker. It still tastes delicious served rare. I also ate a baked potato with butter, salt and sour cream, some roasted carrots and onions, and a salad consisting of lettuce, bell peppers and carrots with Ranch dressing. Dinner was definitely the high meal of the day.

One stressful part of the day had to do with trying to work out some scheduling issues with my husband while also taking care of the baby and preschooler. We obviously didn't get everything communicated properly because today (two days later) I ended up 45 minutes late to work because neither my husband nor the out of town family came home in time to relieve me. It's honestly possible that I never actually mentioned what time I needed to be at work as there were so many other details to go over.

But back to Monday, I put up eleven meals in the freezer and then two more the following day. I still have some butternut squash to finish processing. So I felt pretty triumphant about getting my freezer stocked up again. I was able to finish because the kids got a ride home from school, meaning I did not have to pack up the smallest children and drive in to get them myself, and could instead just keep working.

I am very happy to be finally done with this project.

I'm looking forward to posting some other kinds of articles here on Steemit. That might take a while, though, as my work is pretty intense at the moment. In any case, I now have one less thing to do each day. I was glad to participate in the project and I hope @williambanks has gotten some good data from me.

Excellent! You did great!

Your data was extremely helpful and actually demonstrated some places we need to strengthen the context sensitive parser, so I'm really glad it was pretty much just you thus far.

I've got an announcement about the results of the experiment on Sunday, but in a nutshell I'd like to rerun this experiment now it has more exposure.

I'm wondering if you would like a paid position as experiment coordinator during the rerun phase. Basically it involves keeping track of who is active and who has dropped out. As well as just providing encouraging feedback to those who participate.

Since you've lived it now, I believe you can relate. ;)

I know work is intense right now. There is no rush to start we could start as soon as it looks like you have some space to do it.

Thanks for everything!

Thanks. I'll consider your offer. I need to make sure I would be able to do it. How much of a time commitment do you think it will be? Things are busy now, and not sure when it will let up...

Was there going to be some compensation for participating?

Yes as a matter of fact there would be, i just haven't determined how much that would be since we're still looking at the scope of the new study.

However I am sending along what you've already earned once I get in this evening. I've just waiting on polo to let me back in. I had to reset my password and haven't seen the reset email yet.

Incoming... This is first payment. More is coming, just need polo to unlock my account.

Thanks. I got it. I'm thinking the earliest I can be available to work for you is after Christmas. Shall we talk about it then?

Sure! That sounds great!
