dated 12 January - 12 February every year, the national movement cultivate this continuous Safety and health in order to implement the provisions of Law No. 1 of 1970 and encourage the independence of the Indonesian Nations Culture of Occupational Safety and Health by 2020.
accident due to the work is still a lot going on in various sectors such as the mining, oil and gas industry, construction and so on. 105.182 case with the victim died 2.375 people. even on the ILO put Indonesia as the highest ranked number accident. it turns out the progress of the safety and health that have been executed by all actors safety and health not in line with the progress of the public at large. culture and mental general community to Salvation still low so that triggers the high numbers accident. this is a challenge the future.
Therefore, the regulation of safety to support the safety efforts in Indonesia, namely Law No. 1 of 1970 has been revised and adjusted to the demands and developments of technology, business and global challenges. Similarly, in terms of institutional, it is necessary to think about safety institutions like OSHA in the USA that are self-contained and cover all aspects and sectors that have high authority and ability such as KLH in the environment sector directly under the president.
The main key to achieve safety progress and able to compete with other nations is the competence of human resources including in safety. This is a challenge for future safety actors how to do a mental revolution in safety through safety culture based on discipline in all aspects of life implanted from an early age. In line with the theme of the month Safety and health of the year 2018, it is expected that safety will contribute to the formation of Indonesian human character. Hopefully Indonesia's safety is parallel to other countries.
